The Balanced Equation is a science curriculum that embraces discussion, inquiry and innovative thinking through a topic of fresh water sustainability.

Through the topic, the educational unit’s goal is to spark students’ interest in STEM initiatives, specifically chemistry, and in doing so, introduce them to a new way of approaching chemical processes, emphasizing the Human factors of ingenuity, discovery and knowledge.  The unit also encourages students’ critical-thinking skills and provides them with tools to evaluate possible actions and multiple points of view.
